Our studio blocks off one hour from our busy calendar to give you and your family a portrait session completely focused on you. Reservation holding deposits are to protect our studio from no-shows and last-minute cancelations and exist simply to ensure your commitment to attend your sessions.

What you need to know…

What ages are recommended for a Fairytale StoryBook Adventure?
This is not an ordinary photo studio, we’re different! This is an interactive JOURNEY, and an ADVENTURE! All participants must be 4 years or older to follow instructions and have the BEST Interactive Adventure Experience possible. They will be participating in a storyline with their Fairy Godmother / Adventure Guide. We want your children to have the best magical experience! 

Reserving a Date/Time for your Session Appointment
Because we create a truly unique Portrait Experience, we are a very high-in-demand, high-end portrait studio and limit the number of appointments that we accept based on our capacity to create stunning pieces of art for our clients. We block out time with our studio and staff for every appointment, hence the need to collect a reservation holding deposit to assure that we are booking serious and committed clients.

The Reservation Deposit must be paid by everyone and reserves the time with our Team to give your child(ren) a happy and memorable experience. This deposit also helps our studio prevent last-minute cancellations and no-shows. Our Team thanks you for your understanding.

CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULE POLICY
We have a 2-week reschedule policy. Rescheduling an appointment with less than two weeks notice will result in a loss of the reservation holding deposit. A new deposit will be required for a new appointment time.

Permanently cancelling any part of the appointment will forfeit the reservation deposit. No-call/No-showing any part of the appointment will incur a $125 cancellation fee billed automatically AND forfeit the reservation deposit.

What if we are running late?
Our studio is very popular, and sessions are booked back to back all day long. We operate at full capacity. Our team comes together from all over the Austin Metro area to give you and your family an amazing experience. If you are 10+ minutes late, your session will need to be rescheduled and any deposits paid become a print credit. NO EXCEPTIONS.

What should I expect at the Session?
FAIRYTALE ADVENTURES: Expect to have fun! Expect JOY and Laughter! Unforgettable Memories and a Stress Free Experience! Your child will be the STAR of the day, so please refrain from interjecting or calling out to your child during their portrait experience. They will be guided by their own Fairy Godmother.

PET & FAMILY SESSIONS: Expect to have a wonderful experience with our expert team. We will spend 30-45 minutes capturing the connection between your family and/or the precious personality of your children and pets with a variety of poses.

How do I best prepare?
A few days before, gather everything you plan to bring. If you must cut your child’s hair, do so a week or two before the StoryBook Session. If possible, plan your session during a time that corresponds with your smallest child’s ‘best time.’ When you arrive, take a deep calming breath and trust us. We’ve been doing this a long time and we know what we’re doing. Our goal is to not only give you amazing artwork but a great experience. Just sit back and watch the magic unfold.

What is a StoryBook Studio Adventure Experience?
A truly exciting interactive immersion cinematic portrait experience where your child steps into their very own fairytale as a Royal Prince(ss) or an adventure with the Magical Unicorn or Dragon. Or explore a Magical Wizards Library. We are Austin’s FIRST AND ONLY Interactive Immersion Portrait Studio with Choose Your Own Fairytale Adventures.

What should I wear?
FAIRYTALE ADVENTURES: We provide Wizard Robes, Pixie Dresses with Tiara, Adventurer Costumes, and Noble Knight costumes that fit MOST. If you choose to bring your own clothing, we recommend timeless clothing that doesn’t ‘date’ the portraits. Lighter colors will help separate your child from the background. Patterns (such as stripes, polka dots, plaid, etc.) are strictly prohibited. We DO NOT RECOMMEND wearing “Disney” Princess Costumes. At StoryBook Studio, your child IS the princess/prince.

FAMILIES: A family portrait is a piece of your history and an heirloom for your children. We take that very seriously. We recommend reading our DRESS CODE to guide you on what best to wear for your Family Portrait. In general, we recommend you dress as if you’re going to a very nice wedding or to church. Dark jewel-tone tops and black bottoms/skirts will best showcase the family and keep the attention off of the clothing.

What if my child does not end up participating in the fairytale adventure session?
This is why age (4 years and older) is SO important. This is a big adventure and sometimes on big adventures unexpected things happen. While our expertly trained assistants will try every trick in the box to help your child enjoy and participate in their experience, we cannot guarantee their engagement. If we are unable to capture portraits of your child during their experience, it will result in your reservation deposit becoming a print credit which can be applied to a future appointment. The reservation deposit will transfer to a new appointment and become a print credit during your ordering appointment. Not rescheduling is considered a same-day cancellation and will forfeit your reservation deposit entirely.

When will we see the Portraits?
You will be scheduled for a Zoom viewing appointment to take place no more than 2 weeks after your portrait session. Only one ordering appointment is included with your session. Therefore, all decision makers are required at your Ordering Session. If you make purchasing decisions with your partner, they will be required to attend. We will be placing your order during the Zoom appointment.

How long is a StoryBook Adventure Experience?
Our Fairytale Experiences are booked back to back all day long and we have allowed 1 hour for your family to include your portrait experience. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your portrait experience, dressed and ready for your visit.

How long is a Family or Pet Portrait Session?
Our Portrait Sessions are booked back to back all day long and we have allowed 1 hour for your family or pet. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your portrait experience, dressed and ready for your session.

How do I order my Portrait Artwork?
Approx. 1-2 weeks after your Portrait Session/Experience, you’ll join our Art Director for your very own Order Appointment via ZOOM where we’ll continue your magical experience in an exciting presentation where you’ll choose and order your favorite portraits. Attending your ZOOM ordering appointment is required to redeem your Prize. For your convenience, we have partnered with Affirm, AfterPay, and Klarna so you can get everything that you want.

What kind of Artwork will be offered at the StoryBook Experience?
SELF ESTEEM BUILDING is the goal for all the artwork we provide. Personalized signature Canvas wrapped StoryBooks, Framed Wall Art, and Gift Portrait Art Pieces… we have something for everyone to help your children remember this magical moment in their lives. Portrait artwork starts at $500. Special Collections will be presented to you at your ZOOM appointment. We have options for everyone to get what they want! Are you able to work with special needs children?
We are very happy to work with children with special needs and will accommodate in any way we can. Please be aware that our camera room for the Dragon, Alicorn and Wizard sessions is up two small flights of stairs. If this is a concern, we suggest booking a Royal Fairytale Adventure or Family Portrait Session which is photographed on the main level of the building and has the best wheelchair access.

Is the Session Deposit per family or per child?
The Reservation Deposit includes one child in the themed sets per immediate family. Each additional sibling (up to 3 siblings total) is only $25 each. Note **If you would like images of extended family, like a cousins picture for Grandma, we will happily book their paid portrait session after yours / back to back and at the end and include a group posing at no additional charge. Each family unit will be required to have their own session booked.

Where are you located?
StoryBook Studio is in the big building at 1514 Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock 78664. Our studio is the only building with a UNICORN on the front. The building is immediately to the left as you enter the drive. Located in Round Rock, TX near the Kalahari - America's Largest Indoor Water Park and the popular Dell Diamond Baseball Field.

What type of investment should I be expecting to make?
StoryBook Studio produces exquisite Fine Portrait Art meant to last generations. Children who see themselves in beautiful portraits displayed on the wall at appropriate sizes have a stronger sense of well-being and importance. Every portrait from our studio is hand-touched by a Master Artist who creates vivid and magical portrait art pieces. Most families choose a wall portrait and collection to remember this very special time depending how they’re looking to impact their child’s life. Small portrait artwork starts at $500 and collections start at $1,500. All artwork is carefully hand-retouched. To best set your expectations, artwork may take 6-8 weeks for completion.

The award winning artwork created by Jennifer Fowler (owner) have received the highest honors by the Professional Photographers of America in the children category. These award-winning submissions have been earned exclusively through client work.
