Why Senior Dogs?
Puppies are wonderful. They bring a new energy and playful fun to our homes. We get to watch as they begin to explore their new little world.
But they are new to our lives and we haven’t built the relationship with them yet where they know when you’re crying and needing support.
With a puppy, you haven’t built the friendship so strong and a love so deep, where they’ve been with you through the heartache and big joyful moments of your lives.
These portraits are to celebrate the loyal and loving dogs who were there for us through the days of magic and days that were tragic. These sessions highlight these soul companions who we’ve confided in and shared our hearts.
Our beloved dogs who love us unconditionally through the phases of our lives. Our companions who wait patiently for our return every day. Our precious pets who make us laugh and cry and help us realize the depths of love we feel through them.
This is to honor their part in our life story.
“Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day.
It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them.”
― John Grogan, Marley and Me: Life and Love With the World's Worst Dog
